Emmons Pond Bog is pretty easy to enjoy
RICK BROCKWAY The Emmons Pond Bog no longer has a boardwalk, but there's still plenty to see along its woodland trail.
Last week in the "What's Happening?" part of this column, I mentioned that Dr. Kudish was speaking at Balsam Lake Mountain about peat bogs.

Four Cooperstown pitchers scattered 10 hits to lead the Hawkeyes to a 5-1 victory over the Utica Brewers in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League opener for both teams Wednesday at Doubleday Field.

Cooperstown goes down swinging
