Chad Wienen will look for his fifth victory of the season when the ATV Motocross National Championship Series arrives at the Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin on Saturday.
The ATV event is one of three summer traditions scheduled for this weekend. Oneonta Post 259 will host the 15th annual Green Wave Wood Bat Classic at three Oneonta baseball fields today through Sunday. The 47th annual Delaware County Amateur Golf Championship will run the same days at the par-72 Delhi College Golf Course.
Wienen, who rides for Yamaha, has compiled 327 points as the series heads into the eighth of its 10 rounds this weekend.
Defending series champion John Natalie is still in contention for the overall 2012 title. The Can-Am rider has a pair of wins this season.
Joel Hetrick and Josh Upperman also are among the favorites. Hetrick swept both motos to win the UVSC crown last season, when Upperman placed second overall at the track. A rookie last season, Hetrick earned his first career track title at UVSC.
Pro qualifying and racing will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday. The first pro moto is scheduled for 1 p.m. Pro racers will hold an autograph session at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The UVSC will host 38 classes of amateur racing for riders ages 4 and older Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-11. Admission includes full pro-pit access and the autograph session.

AMATEUR GOLF
Delaware County Amateur
Delhi resident Brad Anderson will open his quest for a record 10th Delaware County Amateur title when he tees off at 10:20 a.m. today at the Delhi College Golf Course.
Anderson earned his record ninth crown last year with a tap-in for par on the second playoff hole against Mark McGraw Jr. of Hancock.
McGraw, who lost when he missed an 8-foot par putt on the par-3 second hole, tees off at 9 a.m. today.
Anderson has won three of the last four D.C. Amateur championships. He finished second in 2010 to Frank Liberati, who didn't compete last year because he moved out of the county. Liberati is not among the 135 golfers in the tournament this year.
