Tryouts for Hoops Festival on Wednesday
Tryouts for the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Southern Tier team will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Maine-Endwell and 6-9 p.m. July 1 at Elmira Notre Dame.
The BCANY second annual Summer Hoops Festival for boys and girls will be held Aug. 3-5 at Johnson City.
Section Four players in grades 9-11 are eligible to try out if their coaches are members of BCANY. If a coach is not a member, he can go to the website www.bcany.org for membership information. The individual cost for a coach to join is $30. An updated BCANY membership list will be on hand at the tryouts.

Oneonta State to host three track meets
The Oneonta State athletic department is sponsoring three Twilight Track & Field meets.
They'll be held June 27, July 17 and July 31 at O-State. All three meets are free and begin at 7 p.m.
Events include the mile run, the 50-meter dash, the 100, the 200, the 400, the 800, the 3,000 and the high jump (if facilities are available).
OBGC to host basketball camp
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will host a basketball camp July 1-3 for children in grades Kindergarten to 11.
The cost of the camp is $50, and includes a T-shirt and a basketball.
Children in grades K-5 will meet from 3:30-6 p.m. July 1 and from 8:30-11 a.m. July 2-3. Those in grades 6-11 will meet from 6:30-9 p.m. July 1 and from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. July 2-3.
