STAFF REPORT
Bainbridge-Guilford graduate Tyler Mumbulo
won two matches Friday to advance to the 125-
pound semifinals of the NCAA Division II Wrestling
Tournament at Omaha, Neb.
Mumbulo, a senior at Upper Iowa University,
defeated Terrell McKinney of Nebraska-Omaha,
5-4, in his quarterfinal match. Mumbulo scored a
takedown in the second period to take a 5-4 lead
and then held McKinney scoreless in the final period
to secure his third Division II All-American
honor.
In his first match Friday, Mumbulo earned a 6-1
win over Kyle O’Brien of Western State College.
Mumbulo will face Arsenia Barksdale of Adams
State College in the semifinals Saturday.
Mumbulo is a two-time New York state champion
for Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL ... Casey Manzanero had 18 points and 14 rebounds for host Unatego, which got a last-second steal from Kayla Talbot to secure a 33-32 non-league girls basketball victory over Windsor on Monday.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP ... Not only will Cooperstown take a 15-3 record into the Section Three Class C-2 tournament next week, the Redskins also are getting healthier. The Redskins' girls basketball team defeated visiting Waterville, 63-29, and earned the co-championship in Division III of the Center State Conference on Friday. Cooperstown and Hamilton each finished with 9-1 league records.
