Anthony Keane swished a winning three-pointer from the right wing and then posed for several seconds with his right wrist at its follow-through position Saturday.
Keane's basket just before the buzzer gave visiting Hartwick College a 78-75 Empire 8 Conference men's basketball victory at Ithaca College. The shot capped a Hartwick comeback from an eight-point deficit with 4 1/2 minutes left and put the Hawks (18-2, 7-2) in a three-way tie atop the conference standings with Stevens and Nazareth.
Jared Suderley and Mike Geisser scored 19 points apiece for Hartwick. Suderley also grabbed 14 rebounds. Geisser went 5-for-5 from three-point range en route to his highest-scoring college game.
"It was a great comeback in the last couple minutes, capped off by an unbelievable shot by Keane," Hartwick coach Todd McGuinness said in a media release. "Keane, Geisser and Suderley stepped up and made huge plays in the second half. I'm really proud of the effort the guys gave."
The Bombers (8-12, 5-4) led by eight with 4:26 to play. Hartwick then went on a 12-0 run.
The defending conference champion Hawks took a 75-72 lead on two free throws by Suderley with 22 seconds left, but Ithaca's Sean Rossi tied the score on a three-pointer with about five seconds to go. The Hawks quickly pushed the ball up court to Keane, who scored off a pass from Andres Carpio for the victory.
Keane finished with 16 points and five assists. Carpio had 11 points, and Chris Ryder contributed nine points and his season high of 16 rebounds.
Hartwick hosts Alfred at 8 p.m. Friday.
Buffalo State 102, O-State 65
Frankie Kelly had 13 points, Dan McLaren and Nick Sarchioto had 12 apiece, and Alby Skrelji finished with 10 in Oneonta State's SUNY Athletic Conference road loss Saturday.
The Bengals (15-3, 8-3) received Ahmed Nagaya's college high of 30 points. He shot 13-for-13 from the field.
O-State (2-16, 1-10) travels to Plattsburgh at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Cobleskill loses twice
Senior guard Brendan Doherty had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists for host SUNY Cobleskill, which fell, 71-64, to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game Sunday.
The Fighting Tigers (1-18) fell to 1-8 in the NEAC. Keuka (5-12) is 5-5 in conference.
Jack Jeffres contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Alexis Nunez had 10 points and six assists for Cobleskill.
On Saturday, the Fighting Tigers squandered a 16-point halftime lead and lost, 56-53, to NEAC guest Wells College.
Doherty had 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, and Tarik Peyton finished with 12 points. Jeffres had 15 rebounds.
Cobleskill travels to SUNYIT at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Delhi splits
Quayshawn Mitchell scored his college high of 21 points to lead SUNY Delhi to an 80-40 Mountain Valley Conference road win Saturday.
Ray Warren and Rashard Hendricks contributed 10 points apiece for the Broncos (19-4), who took a 36-15 lead into halftime.
On Friday, the Broncos lost, 85-79, at Herkimer in a matchup of nationally-ranked NJCAA Division III teams.
Deondre Preaster, a one-time Syracuse University football recruit at wide receiver, scored 30 points to lead Herkimer.
Jonathan Annan scored 19 points, Terrynce Wilson and John Brown contributed 15 apiece, and Mitchell finished with 13 for Delhi, which hosts Davis College at 7 p.m. Thursday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Hartwick 56, Ithaca 53
Sophomores Maria Foglia and Kate Purcell scored 20 and 16 points, respectively, to lead visiting Hartwick to a key Empire 8 Conference victory Saturday.
The Hawks (16-3, 8-1) moved into a first-place tie with Ithaca (16-4, 8-1) atop the conference standings. Hartwick also dealt the Bombers their second regular-season conference loss over the last three seasons. Ithaca is 39-2 against E8 opponents during that span.
"What a great win for our program," Hartwick coach Missy West said in a media release. "I'm so proud of our players. They stuck to the gameplan today and have worked so hard all season."
Jo Vincents gave Hartwick a 54-47 lead by hitting two free throws with 1:12 left to cap an 8-0 run, but Ithaca answered with six straight points. Samantha Klie scored on a putback before Devin Shea hit a layup off of a steal. Shea was fouled on the play but missed the free throw. The Bombers' Jenn Escobido grabbed the miss and hit the putback to make it 54-53.
Kathryn Campbell then stole the ball for Ithaca, but Vincents intercepted her long pass and drew a foul with 1 second left. She made both free throws to cap the scoring. Vincents finished with 10 points, two assists and two steals.
Cooperstown graduate Samantha Fox had four points, six rebounds and three blocks.
The Hawks, winners of 15 of their last 16, host Alfred on Friday.
Buffalo State 66, O-State 51
Samantha Szkotak had 16 points and six rebounds, but the visiting Red Dragons lost a SUNYAC game.
The Red Dragons (11-6) and the Bengals (16-2) are tied atop the conference standings with 9-2 SUNYAC records.
Grace Shilling contributed 10 points for O-State, which went into halftime tied at 20. Buffalo State outscored O-State, 46-31, in the second half.

Cobleskill wins twice
Freshman Kady Porterfield had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead SUNY Cobleskill to a 55-42 NEAC victory over visiting Keuka on Sunday.
The Fighting Tigers (11-7, 8-3) led, 33-31, at halftime and limited the Storm to 13 points on 5-for-32 shooting in the second half.
Chelcy Moore had nine points and 14 rebounds, and Brittany Britt had 11 points, six rebounds and three assists for Cobleskill, which received 10 points from Yasmeen Hernandez.
Sidney graduate Danielle Gravel had six points on 2-for-12 shooting for Keuka (10-5, 8-3).
On Saturday, host Cobleskill downed Wells College, 49-43, in a NEAC game.
Moore had 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals for Cobleskill, which received 10 points from Britt and 11 points and seven rebounds from Porterfield.
Cobleskill travels to SUNYIT at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Oneonta, 25, Oswego 9
In their final home matches, seniors Carlos Soto and Jimmy Neal earned wins to help Oneonta State to a dual-meet victory.
Soto earned an 18-7 major decision over Kevin Ramkishun at 125 pounds. Neal's 7-3 win over Scott Bova at 174 gave the Red Dragons a 19-3 lead.
The lone pin went to the Red Dragons' Jake Smith, who needed 5:48 to stop Joseph Friedel at 197.
O-State travels to King's College at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
SWIMMING
Hartwick cruises
Hartwick's men and women each won twice Saturday in their final home meet of the season.
The Hawks honored nine seniors, including five from the women's team.
Hartwick's men defeated St. Lawrence, 177-92, and beat Oneonta State, 153-87, to run their record to 16-0.
Michael Phillips led the Hawks with victories in the 400-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. Other Hartwick victories came from Brad Ranson (100 free); Lydon Schultz (50 free); Miles Blaney (200 free); Cody Cupit (100 back); Kenny Kleso (500 free); Luke Grunewald (1,000 free); and Chris Willcox (100 butterfly).
O-State's men (5-3), who also beat St. Lawrence (180-59) and SUNY Cobleskill (215-16), received two wins apiece from Jermaine Miller, Ryan Walsh, Alex Vaughn and Oneonta High graduate Alex Miller.
Alex Miller won the 400 IM and the 100 free. One of Jermaine Miller's victories came in 3-meter diving. His score of 303.85 provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division III meet.
Cobleskill's men, who also lost, 137-56, to St. Lawrence, received a third-place finish from Connor Worder in the 1,000 free.
Hartwick's women defeated St. Lawrence, 136-92, and downed O-State, 132-102.
Stephanie Ha, Gwen Mathias and Justine Woodend won two events apiece for the Hawks. Ha won the 100 back and the 100 butterfly; Mathias touched first in the 1,000 free and the 500 free; and Woodend earned wins in the 100 free and 50 free.
Hartwick's next meet is 1 p.m. Saturday against Empire 8 Conference rival and nationally ranked Stevens Institute.
O-State's women (2-5), who also lost to St. Lawrence, 132-118, received two wins from Kristen Magliola. She placed first in the 100 breaststroke against Hartwick and won the 400 IM against St. Lawrence.
Delhi graduate Chandler Shepard won the 100 free against St. Lawrence.
The Red Dragons next compete in the SUNYAC Championships on Feb. 9 at Erie Community College.
Cobleskill's women defeated host Saint Elizabeth, 58-36, on Saturday.
Sarah Duger, Audrey Harper, Jamie Cooley and Caitlyn Giniel earned wins for the Fighting Tigers, who'll travel to Skidmore Invitational on Saturday.
Spring Distance Invitational
Freshman Kiyomi Shibuya finished second in the 200 backstroke in a school-record time and also placed first in the 200 breaststroke to lead host SUNY Delhi in the Spring Distance Invitational.
Shibuya finished the 200 backstroke in 2:26.35 to break the record of 2:32.76 set by Julie Haplin in 2005. She won the 200 breaststroke in 2:40.44 and placed second in the 50 free in 26.75. The Broncos' women finished last in the five-team meet with 54 points. Suffolk won with 320.
Delhi's men finished third with 206 points. First-place Suffolk had 374 points.
Michael Roeland won the 500 free in 5:49.16 for the Broncos, who will swim in the North East District Championships at Monroe CC in two weeks.
Indoor Track
Class of '32 Invitational
Oneonta State's men and women finished second and third, respectively, Saturday in the Class of '32 Invitational at Colgate.
The men had 155 points and the women finished with 121.
Senior Sarah Timmons broke her school record in the 20-pound weight throw. She won the event with a distance of 54 feet, 11 1/2 inches _ about three inches farther than her old record. Timmons also won the shot put (36-7 1/2).
Freshman Kenya Outram contributed a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. She crossed in 9.54 seconds, which tied the school record set by Maureen Verdier in 2005.
O-State's men were led by junior Sean Bernstein, who won the 60 (7.01) and the 200 (22.43). Both were ECAC qualifying times.
Freshmen J.D. Roth and Sean Mullen won the 35-pound weight throw (48-3 1/2) and the triple jump (41-3 3/4), respectively, for O-State, which received a school record from freshman pole vaulter Nick Perugini, who cleared 12-11 1/2 to finish fourth. Perugini broke the mark he set two weeks ago.
O-State will head to the Springfield Invitational on Saturday.
Terrier Invitational
Shorna Brown placed eighth in the high jump (5-foot-3) Saturday to lead SUNY Cobleskill in the Terrier Invitational at Boston University.
Jenn Havens (Oneonta High) placed 31st in the 500 (1:26.60) for the Fighting Tigers.
Cobleskill will compete in the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Cortland Winter Invitational
Unadilla Valley graduate Tyler Foulds placed third in the weight throw and sixth in the shot put to lead SUNY Delhi in the Cortland Winter Invitational on Saturday.
Foulds put the shot 44 feet, 8 inches. His weight throw covered 48-0 1/2.
Dylan Lowry contributed second- and third-place finishes in the 800 and mile, respectively. He ran the 800 in 2:01.53 and the mile in 4:48.81.
Delhi's women received first-place performances from Tiyi Boone and Daphna Darisme. Boone won the 60 hurdles in 9.76 and Darisme cleared 5-1 to win the high jump.
Myla Allen contributed a second in the triple jump, clearing 33-0 1/2.
