Michael Hamilton of Oneonta placed first in the Oneonta Family YMCA/Oneonta Outlaws 5K Fun Run, which finished near home plate at Damaschke Field on Wednesday.
The race took place before the Outlaws' Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game against the Elmira Pioneers.
Hamilton, 25, crossed in 16 minutes, 50.2 seconds. Runner-up Charles Hollister of Cooperstown finished second in 17:18.4. Oneonta's Amanda LoPiccolo was the first woman to cross and third overall in 18:08.5 _ just ahead of her husband, Matt, who crossed in 18:08.8.
Wayne Allen of Bainbridge rounded out the top five. He finished in 18:18.9.
A total of 102 runners completed the race.

Bauerle's 1-hitter leads B-G in Class C

OHS girl wins Class B title
Oneonta High freshman Taylor Hitchcock moved to the head of the class Monday at Vestal. Hitchcock won the Section Four Class B title in the 2,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 8 minutes, 5.2 seconds to automatically qualify for the Section Four State Qualifiers on May 30.
