COMMENTING ON STORIES:

3. Harassing, harmful, vulgar, obscene and defamatory language.
4. Threatening statements or statements that suggest violence.
5. Hate speech of any kind.
6. Intolerant comments on religion, race, age, gender, sexual preference or disabilities.
7. Accusations of criminal activity.
8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.

Five Hawks honored for work in classroom

Five Hartwick College water polo players _ freshman Anna Zdolsek, juniors Hayley Cox and Sasha Freeborn, and seniors Shannon Leonard and Lisa Bass _ earned spots on the 2012 Women's All-Academic Awards as selected by the Association of College Water Polo Coaches.

Zdolsek gained a spot in the outstanding category given to those with GPAs between 3.71 and 4.0. She was one of 57 players nationwide to achieve the top classification.

Cox was honored for the second straight year in the superior category (GPAs from 3.41 to 3.7).

Leonard, Bass and Freeborn made the excellent category (3.2 to 3.4).

The Hawks had a team GPA of 3.21, which ranked 10th nationally.

Hartwick went 28-13 in 2012, marking the ninth straight year it was won at least 25 games.
