Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton's boys and Walton's girls each finished second Thursday in the Section Four Class C Track and Field Championships at Greene.
The Bears had 74 points _ five behind winner Trumansburg. The Blue Devils won the girls team title, too, with 92 points _ 43 ahead of Walton.
Connor Fuller led B-G/A's boys, following his win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Monday with a victory in the 3,200. Fuller, a senior who finished the 3,200 in 10 minutes, 1.37 seconds, also placed second in the 1,600 with a personal-best time of 4:26.81. Cameron Bruce of Lansing won the 1,600 in 4:18.51.
B-G/A's Noah Ives contributed a victory in the 400 hurdles, crossing in 58.84. Walton's Kevin Flaherty finished second in 59.64.
The Bears also went 1-2 in the shot put. Pedro Aparacio won at 42 feet, 9.75 inches and teammate Chris Puerile finished second at 41-7.25.
Gilbertsville-Mount Upton/Morris' Eddie Ray Cotton placed first in the 200 (23.20) and the long jump (20-8.5).
Flaherty won the 110 hurdles (15.91), and Sidney freshman Austin Dean won the discus (128-9).
Molly Maguire paced Walton's girls. The senior set a school record in winning the 2,000 steeplechase Monday, then figured into two more school records Thursday.
She finished second in the 1,500 in a program-best 4:56.50, just behind winner Sam Sauer of Thomas A. Edison (4:56.21). Maguire also joined Kristine Reed, Kim Kehr and Cortney Miller on the 1,600 relay team. The foursome placed second in 4:16.15, breaking the school record of 4:17.7 set in 2007. Trumansburg won the relay in 4:12.99.
B-G/A freshman Julia Knapp, the 2011 Daily Star Female Track Athlete of the Year, won the 400 hurdles in a personal-best 1:05.72. She also placed second in the long jump, at 16-0.5.
Unatego junior Michaela Reynolds cleared 5-0 to win the high jump; Sidney's Asia Revis won the shot put at 34-1.75; and G-MU/M's Christina Hawkins won the discus at 100-4.
Ithaca will host the Section Four State Qualifiers this Thursday.

Class D
Brett Smith's win in the 100 helped Milford's boys to a third-place showing in the Section Four Class D Championships, which ran Wednesday at Marathon.
Smith won in 11.49 seconds, leading Milford to 59 points. Odessa-Montour won the team tile with 102 points, followed by Southern Cayuga's 75.
Other area boys winners were Laurens' Chris Bakhuizen (800, 2:01.76); Unadilla Valley's Dylan Thomsen (3,200, 10:26.52); Delhi's Justin Hasbrouck (high jump, 6-0); and Delhi's Joe Brown (pole vault, 10-6).
Cherry Valley-Springfield's 400 relay team of Noah Russo, Nick Mills, Ben Campbell and Isiah Montgomery won in 46.99, and Laurens' 3,200 relay team of Ryan Crean, Josiah Wenck, Jerry Murello and Bakhuizen crossed first in 8:41.15.
Delhi had the highest finish among area girls teams, placing third with 59 points. Elmira Notre Dame and Candor finished 1-2, with 107 and 82 points, respectively.
Area winners were Davenport/South Kortright's Sarah Haight (100 hurdles, 17.09); Cherry Valley-Springfield's Ksenia Hanlon (100, 13.27); Milford's Emilie Mertz (200, 27.30); Richfield Springs' Tessa Buck (triple jump, 31-4.5); Delhi's Abby Hall (shot put, 32-1.5); Delhi's Jessica Plance (discus, 102-0); and Shealyn Misiewicz of CV-S (pole vault, 8-0).
