Oneonta volleyball sweeps

Krissy Wells finished with a match-best 17 assists Tuesday as Oneonta High cruised to a 3-0 volleyball sweep of visiting Norwich in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.

Michelle-Lee St. Marthe contributed eight kills and Hayley Dower had five aces and seven digs for the Yellowjackets (3-0, 3-0), who won, 25-17, 25-10, 25-15.

OHS will attempt to remain perfect on the season today, when it hosts STAC rival Susquehanna Valley.

B-G 3, Walton 2

Morgan Bullis finished with 16 kills, 11 aces, 11 assists, three blocks and two digs as host Bainbridge-Guilford outlasted Walton, 25-27, 25-20, 25-16, 24-26, 25-22, in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Alissa Rivera contributed seven kills and three aces for the Bobcats (3-1), who play host to Oxford on Friday.

Ashley Constable had 17 kills and three blocks for the Warriors, who trailed throughout the final game.

UV 3, Unatego 1

Shannon McIntyre’s 18 aces, seven assists and six kills lifted visiting Unadilla Valley to a 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, 27-25 victory in the MAC.

Haley Benson contributed eight aces and four kills for the Storm, who visit Sidney on Thursday.

Kali Benedict finished with six aces and Marissa Woodard had five to pace Unatego (0-4), which hosts Walton on Thursday.

Sidney 3, Greene 1

Tori Seymour had 11 assists and Paige Redmond finished with 10 digs as Sidney won a MAC match on the road, 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Megan Rivers contributed a match-best seven kills for the Warriots, who received four aces from Redmond and three blocks from Taylor Krom.

FIELD HOCKEY

Walton 3, Deposit 0

Kiley Lamoreaux scored twice in Walton’s Midstate Athletic Conference victory at home.

Lamoreaux scored five minutes into play off an assist from Jess Fisher, who then set up Hannah Dutcher’s goal 43 seconds later.

Fisher’s third assist went to Lamoreaux with 14 ½ minutes left.

Walton (3-1, 1-0) hosts Hancock on Thursday.

Hancock 5, Sidney 3

Leah Newman scored three goals in the second half to lead host Hancock (3-1, 1-0) to a MAC victory. Newman broke a 2-all tie with her first goal, which

came about midway through the second half.

Hancock goalie Kayla Barringer had 25 saves but allowed goals to Mekayla Wakeman, Katy DeShaw and Hannah Wood 1-0.

GIRLS TENNIS

Delhi 3, Hancock 2

Sarah Clark earned a 6-1, 6-0 sweep at first singles to lead host Delhi to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory. Singles victories by Favret and Gillett secured the team win for the Bulldogs.
