{"HeadlineLight14"/}OBGC to continue softball camp

The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will continue its 2009 Oneonta Pitching Camp for softball players this Sunday. The camp, which is designed for girls ages 8-18, also runs Nov. 15 and 22. Times are as follows: Intermediate/Advanced Session I, 1-2 p.m.; Intermediate/Advanced Session II, 2-3 p.m.; Beginning Session III, 3-4 p.m.

Cost is $75 per session. Cost for those who participate in both intermediate/advanced sessions is $125.

The Rockdale Rod and Gun Club will hold a 1200 shoot at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday. A 1 p.m. session will follow in the events of more than three reservations or overflow. Cost is $10 for 22 caliber, $2 for center fire and $1 for the luck shoot.

SUNY Cobleskill will introduce its men's and women's basketball teams from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Best Western Inn of Cobleskill.

Suggested donation is $10. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. Men's coach Matt Allen and women's coach Larry King will be present for a question-and-answer session.

{"HeadlineLight14"/}Gun show Sunday at Holiday Inn

The Midstate Arms Collectors and Shooters Club will sponsor a Gun Show at the Oneonta Holiday Inn from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.

The show will feature 60 dealers of arms and military relics from the pre-Revolutionary War era to the present. Cash will be paid for old guns, swords and military items brought to the show. Admission is $2.

{"HeadlineLight14"/}City softball forum set for Monday

The Oneonta City Recreation Office will host an open forum to discuss the Oneonta City Softball Program at 6 p.m. Monday at the Laskaris Skatehouse in Neahwa Park.

Results of the players' survey and cost analysis will be discussed, as well as challenges that faced the league in 2009 and strategies to improve the cost efficiency of the program. Players, managers, sponsors and umpires are invited to attend.

{"HeadlineLight14"/}Baseball Hall to host sleepovers

The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown will host its Extra Innings Overnight program for youths ages 9 and older Nov. 13 and 20.

Children will arrive at the Hall at 7 p.m. for a sleepover in the Plaque Gallery. Guests will have access to the museum after hours and may watch a movie or a baseball game in the Bullpen Theater. The Hall will provide evening snacks, breakfast and a Hall of Fame back sack filled with mementos. Cost is $49.95 for juniors and $39.95 for adults. The Nov. 13 session is for youth groups only. The Nov. 20 session is exclusively for museum members and their families.

{"HeadlineLight14"/}OBGC to hold winter lacrosse

The winter session of Lacross Oneonta will run Mondays from Nov. 16-Feb. 15 at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club. OBGC members in grades 3-7 will play from 5-7 p.m., followed by grades 8-12 from 7-9 p.m. There is no cost to play, but participants must be OBGC members. Equipment is limited. {"HeadlineLight14"/}State football schedule changes

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association changed its schedule for the state football championships at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse because a Syracuse University basketball game is slated for Nov. 27.

The revised schedule opens with the Class D state championship game at noon Nov. 28. The Class C final follows at 3 p.m. and the Class A title game will start at 6 p.m.

The Class AA and Class B championship games are scheduled for 1 and 4 p.m., respectively, Nov. 29. The NYSPHSAA originally scheduled some games for Nov. 27.

There are no changes to the state semifinal schedule. Dietz Stadium in Kingston will host the East semifinals and Paetec Park in Rochester will host the West semis on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21.

{"HeadlineLight14"/}O-State hosting weekly TV show

Oneonta State is hosting a weekly television sports show called "Inside Red Dragon Sports" at 7:30 p.m. Mondays on Time Warner Cable channel 23. Replays of each show will be televised at 6 p.m. the following Saturday on TWC channel 23.

The show also will be available through the Internet on the campus' streaming site, which has a permanent link on O-State's athletics homepage at www.oneonta.edu/academics/athletics/.

The Delaware County United Soccer Club is seeking people to help start a travel team for boys and girls that will compete in the Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League next spring.

The Redskins' girls basketball team defeated visiting Waterville, 63-29, and earned the co-championship in Division III of the Center State Conference on Friday. Cooperstown and Hamilton each finished with 9-1 league records.
