Tickets for third annual Hall of Fame Baseball Classic at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown will go on sale April 16.
The seven-inning exhibition game that features seven Hall of Famers and 20 former major-leaguers starts at 2 p.m. June 19. Before the game, a parade will start at noon and a legends hitting contest will take place at 1 p.m.
Museum members can buy tickets online at baseballhall.org, or by phone at 888-425-5633 or 607-547-7200. Non-members can purchase tickets, beginning at 9 a.m. April 16 at the Baseball Hall. Ticket-buyers can arrive at the Hall no earlier than 6 a.m. Should tickets remain by April 25, phone and online sales will begin for the general public, with details to be announced at that time.
Prices are $12.50 for first- and third-base seats and $11 for outfield seats.
Andre Dawson, Goose Gossage, Phil Niekro, Tony Perez, Jim Rice, Ozzie Smith and Dick Williams round out the Hall of Famers who'll play on the Fathers' Day event. Former big-leaguers who've committed to play thus far are Frank Catalanotto, Doug Glanville, Bill Lee, Willie Wilson, Rick Wise and Dmitri Young.
Other events planned for the weekend include a Hall of Fame golf tournament fundraiser for the museum, the new Classic Fest at Doubleday Field, a Youth Skills Clinic hosted by former major-leaguers and a Voices of the Game program.
Dawson, Gossage, Niekro, Perez, Rice and Smith will play in the golf tournament June 18 at Leatherstocking Golf Course. Space is limited to 24 players. For information on playing, call 607-547-0310.
The Classic Fest will begin at 9 a.m. June 18. It will feature family activities, along with interactive and demonstrative presentations.
From 8 a.m.-noon June 18, children ages 7-12 can take part in a clinic that features former major-leaguers at Doubleday Field. Registration is free but limited and begins April 18 by calling 607-547-0397.

50TH ANNUAL GENERAL CLINTON CANOE REGATTA ... He's not just coming back for a free meal, although Serge Corbin will get one during his return to the General Clinton Canoe Regatta. Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton's boys and Walton's girls each finished second Thursday in the Section Four Class C Track and Field Championships at Greene. The Bears had 74 points _ five behind winner Trumansburg. The Blue Devils won the girls team title, too, with 92 points _ 43 ahead of Walton.
