Alyshia Crawford scored a game-high 13 points Tuesday, leading Oneonta State to a 53-40 women's basketball rout of visiting Oswego in the quarterfinals of the SUNY Athletic Conference Tournament.
Third-seeded Oneonta (17-8) will play No. 2 New Paltz in a 6 p.m. semifinal Friday at Buffalo State. New Paltz downed No. 7 Plattsburgh, 81-69, on Tuesday.
The other semifinal pits fifth-seeded Cortland against No. 1 Buffalo State. Cortland beat fourth-seeded Geneseo, 70-64, in overtime Tuesday, when the Bengals downed No. 8 Fredonia, 64-56.
"This was a great team win for us tonight," said O-State coach Daphne Thompson, whose team reached the championship game last season. "We have proven this year that we are a deep team. We don't need big performances, we just need everyone to do what they are capable of doing."
Crawford contributed to a 25-10 advantage in bench scoring for the Red Dragons, scoring 10 points in the first half to lead O-State to a 35-17 advantage at the break.
Kayla Ryan had 10 points to pace Oswego (12-14), which pulled to 17-14 with 8 minutes, 23 seconds left in the opening half. The Red Dragons then went on an 18-3 run to close the first-half scoring and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Samantha Szkotak contributed 11 points and Sarah Longto had 10 rebounds for the Red Dragons, who scored 21 points off 23 turnovers.
Friday's semifinal winners will play for the SUNYAC Tournament title at 4 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo State. The SUNYAC Tournament champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Keuka 50, Cobleskill 48
Sophomore Casey Chamberlain converted a layup-and-one with 3.2 seconds left to cap host Keuka's come-from-behind victory over SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference quarterfinal.
Victoria Carter's three-pointer gave the third-seeded Fighting Tigers (14-12) a 48-45 lead with 1:46 to play. Sidney graduate Danielle Gravel scored on a scoop-shot 16 seconds later to pull the No. 2 Storm (17-5) to 48-47.
Cobleskill then missed two jumpshots and the front end of a 1-and-1, which gave possession to defending NEAC champion Keuka with 15 seconds to go. Jessica Bandrowski then drove the baseline and passed to Chamberlain on the block, where she drew a foul on her layup. Her ensuing free throw capped the scoring for Keuka, which rallied from a 37-21 deficit early in the second half.
Bandrowski secured the victory by stealing the ball on Cobleskill's last inbounds play.
Gravel finished with a game-high 25 points and four steals for the Storm, who will play top-seeded Penn State-Harrisburg (19-6, 17-1) in a semifinal at 2 p.m. Saturday. The winner advances to the NEAC championship game at 2 p.m. Sunday at SUNYIT.
Chelcy Moore finished with a game-high 18 rebounds and nine points for the Fighting Tigers, who received 20 points from Heidi Anderson.
Kady Porterfield contributed 10 rebounds and eight points for Cobleskill, which committed 26 turnovers.
F-M 69, Delhi 55
Pam Sosa scored a game-high 26 points and South Kortright graduate Renee Craft had 14 points and 10 rebounds, but SUNY Delhi dropped a Mountain Valley Conference game on the road.
Tequilla Lloyd contributed 12 points for the Broncos (17-11), who trailed, 42-28, at halftime.
Antonia Williams hit three three-pointers en route to 22 points for Fulton-Montgomery (23-3), which received 15 points from Monae Abrams and 14 from Champange Hazel. Williams scored 19 points in the first half against Delhi, which pulled to four points in the second half.
The Broncos, who committed 28 turnovers, visit Clinton at 6 p.m. Friday.

On a night when SUNY Delhi's offensive wasn't clicking, the Broncos turned to defense to win a Mountain Valley Conference game on the road.
"We played some of the best defense in the second half in the five years I've been at Delhi," Broncos coach Rob Schoener said. "They scored just six points in the first 12 1/2 minutes of the second half. Obviously no one was playing great on offense, but we were great on defense."
Quayshaun Mitchell had 12 points, including three three-pointers for Delhi, which received 14 points from Jonathan Annan.
Delhi (24-5) finishes its regular season at Clinton on Friday.

Blazek honored for academics
Hartwick senior guard Mark Blazek made the Capital One Academic All-America Division III Men's Basketball First Team, the Hawks announced Tuesday.
The teams, which are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, recognize the top D-III student-athletes for their academic and athletic performances.
Blazek joined Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Matt Carr, Whitworth's Felix Friedt, St. Scholastica's Brett Tester and Ripon's Aris Wurtz on the First Team.
"Mark's had a great career at Hartwick both academically and in basketball," Hartwick coach Todd McGuinness said. "I'm really proud of Mark's hard work. This is a very prestigious honor."
Blazek carries a 3.96 cumulative grade-point average as a biology/pre-physical therapy major. He has made the Dean's List every semester while at Hartwick.
Blazek also is third on team in scoring, with an average of 14.5 points, and has a team-best 49 three-pointers.
Hartwick moves up in poll
Defending Empire 8 Conference Tournament champion Hartwick moved from No. 25 to No. 21 in the latest poll conducted by D3hoops.com, the Hawks announced Monday.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country and is published weekly.
The Hawks (23-2, 12-2) are the top-ranked NCAA Division III team in the East Region. They beat Stevens Institute of Technology, 91-76, on Saturday to clinch their first regular-season E8 title in program history. The victory also helped Hartwick tie a program record for most wins in one season.
Hartwick will host the E8 Tournament this weekend. Second-seeded Nazareth (17-8, 10-4) and No. 3 Stevens (19-6, 10-4) will play in the first semifinal at Lambros Arena at 6 p.m., followed by top-seeded Hartwick against No. 4 Ithaca (12-13, 9-5) at 8 p.m.
Semifinal winners will play for the championship at 4 p.m. Saturday, with the winner earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
NEAC picks Cobleskill sophomore
The North Eastern Athletic Conference picked SUNY Cobleskill sophomore Brendan Doherty for its men's basketball second team.
The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 24 starts. Doherty connected on 127 of 310 attempts from the field, including 67 of 167 from three-point range. He also made 47 of 63 free throws.
SWIMMING
Region III Championships
SUNY Delhi freshman Kiyomi Shibuya won three individual events at the Region III/North East District Swimming and Diving Championships at Monroe Community College this past weekend.
Shibuya broke the program record in the 200-yard individual medley twice, following her finish of 2:20.88 in the preliminaries with a finals time of 2:18.65. The latter set a Mountain Valley Conference record.
Shibuya also broke Delhi's 100 butterfly record twice, beating her preliminary time of 1:05.18 with an MVC record of 1:03.08 in the finals.
Shibuya closed with a victory in the 200 backstroke (2:38.38) for the Broncos' women, who finished seventh out of 10 teams.
Michael Roland's fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.30) paced Delhi's men, who finished eighth out of 11 teams. The Broncos' men also had top-10 finishes in the 200 medley relay (seventh, 2:02.24); the 400 free relay (eighth, 4:04.53); the 400 medley relay (eighth, 4:46.28); and the 200 free relay (ninth, 1:49.22).
Cobleskill's Rynn rewarded
SUNY Cobleskill selected sophomore swimmer Erin Rynn as its athlete of the week Tuesday.
Rynn won two titles during the North Eastern Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships this past weekend at Cazenovia. She placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (5:33.94) and in the 1,650 freestyle (conference and program record 20:43.10).
Rynn, who was First Team All-NEAC in each event, also placed second in the 500 free (5:51.94) and helped the Fighting Tigers to seconds in the 200 free relay (program record 1:50.89) and the 400 free relay (program record 4:02.96).
WATER POLO
Two Hawks honored
The Collegiate Water Polo Association selected sophomores Jemma Dendy Young and Kamila Zakirova as its Western Division Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Dendy Young had nine goals, four assists and 11 steals in four victories this past weekend at the Bucknell Tournament.
Zakirova finished with eight goals, three assists and five steals on the weekend.
The 16th-ranked Hawks (9-3), who have won their last six games, will host Brown at 6 p.m. Friday.
EQUESTRIAN
Skidmore Show
Hartwick College equestrian finished as the Reserve High-Point team in its first competition of the second semester Saturday at Skidmore College.
The Hawks, who capped the first semester ranked fourth in Zone II Region III, earned 31 points for second place. Skidmore won with 49 points.
Freshman Katee Snyder earned Hartwick's victory, winning the novice fences division. Felicia Travers had two second-place rides, in novice fences and novice flat.
Hartwick also received seconds from seniors Lauren Lamoureux (open fences) and Sarah Briggs (walk trot), juniors Olivia Quinn (intermediate flat) and Megan Sullivan (advanced walk trot canter), sophomores Michelle O'Dell (novice flat) and Cassie Howe of South Kortright (beginner walk trot canter), and freshmen Julia Ready (novice flat) and Beth Schantz (beginner walk trot canter).
Cobleskill scored 22 points for fifth and Oneonta State had 20 points to toe Rensselaer for seventh in the 10-team show.
Hartwick will compete in its final home show of the academic year March 3 at Hunters Rein Stables in Otego.
