COMMENTING ON STORIES:

Walton got nine pins to open its Midstate Athletic Conference schedule with a dual-meet victory over visiting Harpursville on Thursday.

Kenny Bozdog had the fastest pin for the Warriors, ending his 126-pound match against Jake Andrews in 28 seconds.

Tabor VanValkenburg, Dawson Beers, Mike Beers and Joseph Sinistore also pinned their opponents in less than a minute for Walton, which also received pins from Dylan Wood, Dakota Coffey, John MacRabie and Quinn Harby.

Walton will compete in the Morrisville Duals on Saturday.

Sidney 70, UV 12

Visiting Sidney received pins from Dylan Gifford, Damon Finch, Alex Morrow and Austin Dean en route to a season-opening dual-meet victory in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Caleb Simonds and Collin Izard had pins for the Storm, who will compete in the two-day Clyde Cole Tournament in Oxford starting today.
