OHS' Kelby qualifies for states in tennis
Oneonta High junior Emerson Kelby ran his record to 17-0 and secured a spot in the state tennis tournament with a pair of victories in the Section Four State Qualifier on Friday at the Binghamton Tennis Center.

Mushtare to head OHS football program
Oneonta High has a new football coach, but he's not new to Oneonta nor is new to coaching varsity football. John Mushtare, an assistant varsity football coach at OHS the past six seasons, was recommended to replace Adam Hoover as the Yellowjackets head coach at a school board meeting Wednesday night.

Senior Jonathan Vega's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning sent Oneonta High's baseball team into the Section Four Class B semifinals Thursday.

C'town escapes with 3-2 triumph
A lefty made everything all right for the Cooperstown softball team Thursday. Christina Noto's RBI triple to left field with one out in the bottom of the seventh gave top-seeded Cooperstown a 3-2 home victory over No. 8 seed Thousand Islands in a Section Three Class C-1 quarterfinal.

Bernstein starts strong at D-III nationals
Oneonta State senior Sean Bernstein had the fastest time in the 200-meter preliminaries and helped the Red Dragons' 400 relay team to a school record during the first day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
