SUNY Cobleskill’s Josh Manko shot a 7-over-par 77 Thursday to earn medalist honors in the Fighting Tiger Fall Invitational at the Cobleskill Golf & Country Club.
Manko edged teammate Travis Deuel by one stroke, and Cobleskill received an 81 from Don Cervantes en route to a second-place finish in the six-team tournament. The Fighting Tigers finished with 321 strokes, one behind Sage College.
Joe Naylor shot an 81 for Cobleskill’s “B” team, which placed third at 340. New York Polytechnic Institute (369), Green Mountain College (422) and SUNY Canton (DNF) rounded out the field.
The Fighting Tigers will compete in the MCLA Invitational next Thursday at the par-71 Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown, Mass.

Visiting Hartwick lost every singles match in straight sets Thursday to fall to 1-2 on the season as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute cruised to a non-conference win.
The Engineers swept doubles play as well, holding each Hartwick tandem to two points or fewer.
The Hawks host Alfred at 1 p.m. Saturday.
VOLLEYBALL
Utica 3, Cobleskill 2
Host SUNY Cobleskill let a two-game lead slip away in falling, 21-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-10, in a non-conference match Wednesday.
Brandi Perisco and Kady Porterfield had seven and six kills, respectively, for the Fighting Tigers (2-3), who received 23 assists from Casey Holbert.

Union 4, Cobleskill 0
Host Union received two goals from Sebastian Jansen and one apiece Daniel Miller and Dean Constant en route to a non-conference victory Wednesday.
