Staff Report
Jess Fisher scored with 36 seconds left Thursday, lifting host Walton to a 1-0 victory over Hancock in Division II of the Section Four Field Hockey Conference.
Fisher brought the ball down the left side of the field and beat three Hancock defenders before scoring from 12 yards.
Katrina Kilmer stopped four shots for the Warriors (4-1, 2-0), who outshot Hancock, 9-2, in the second half. Walton finished with an 11-6 edge in shots overall.
Kayla Barringer made nine saves for Hancock (3-2, 1-1).
Walton visits Afton on Wednesday.
Sidney 3, Harpursville 1
Hannah Wood scored twice to lift Sidney to a Section Four Field Hockey victory at Harpursville. Dawn Savino also scored for the Warriors (2-3, 1-1), who entered halftime in a 1-1 tie.
Kelsey Decker made two saves for Sidney, which finished with a 20-5 advantage in shots. Miranda Congdon had a first-half goal for the Hornets.
Sidney visits Greene today.

Sidney 3, UV 1
Paige Redmond had 18 assists and five digs to lead undefeated Sidney to a 15-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-17 victory over visiting Unadilla Valley in the Midstate Athletic Conference.
Jillian Young contributed a match-high 10 aces for the Warriors (5-0), who received six kills apiece from Tori Seymour and Taylor Krom.
Sidney hosts Bainbridge-Guilford on Tuesday.
Walton 3, Unatego 0
Hunter Wildey had seven aces, two kills and a pair of assists to lead visiting Walton to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 victory that marked its first win of the season.
Ashley Constable contributed four kills for the Warriors (1-4), who host Hancock o
n Tuesday.
Leanne Mckee had seven assists and Cassie Mckee finished with six for the Spartans (0-5), who visit Greene on Monday.
