Boltus doesn't play in CFL home opener

Former Hartwick College quarterback Jason Boltus didn't get the chance to show off his arm during the season-opener for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League on Wednesday.

Boltus is listed under the injured players on Hamilton's roster.

The Tiger-Cats lost their opener, 30-17, at home to the Toronto Argonauts.

Boltus set an NCAA Division III passing record for total yards this past fall, with 14,231 over four years at Hartwick. The 6-foot-3, 225 pound Boltus won the 2007 Melberger Award.

The Tiger-Cats visit British Columbia on July 10.
