Rocco Christian's squeeze bunt toward first scored Warren Drake with the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as host Hancock defeated Cooperstown, 3-2, in a Legion baseball game Wednesday.
Drake walked to lead off the sixth. He went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Todd Wainman and advanced to third on Derek Lenio's single to right.
Christian then hit a bunt down the first-base line and Cooperstown's only play was to first as Drake scored to make it 3-2.
Eli Holton and Tyler Phillips had RBI singles in the fifth inning, when Hancock tied the score at 2. Holton and Phillips each went 2-for-3.
Cooperstown took a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a two-run single by Cullen Beauergaurd.
Brett Adams struck out five in an eight-hitter for Cooperstown.

Sidney scored four times off Whitney Point starter Jeremy Olenski over the first four innings. Olenski, a hard-throwing left-hander, was thought by some to have a chance to be drafted in Major League Baseball's First Year Player Draft earlier this month, but his name was not called.
"We had a pretty good approach tonight," Sidney coach Matt Hafele said. "We swung the bats really well."
DaShon Boyles had an RBI single during Sidney's two-run third inning that ended with Sidney ahead, 3-0.
Quinn Barnhart and Dylan VanPelt each had four hits and four RBIs, and John Williams went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Sidney (6-3) will host Cooperstown at 6 p.m. today at Unatego.
