Hartwick College swept all six singles matches to earn an Empire 8 victory at home Tuesday.

Jen Lin won at first singles to pace the Hawks, who received singles victories from Angelica Cofer, Kimberly Post, Christina Sorrentino, Carly Jesset and Lauren Michaels.

Hartwick (1-0, 1-0) host Alfred at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Cobleskill Athlete of the Week

Freshman cross-country runner Conor Cashin earned SUNY Cobleskill Athlete of the Week honors Tuesday.

Cashin placed first in the Castleton State Invitational on Sunday, completing the 8,000-meter course in a course-record time of 28 minutes, 10.08 seconds.

Cashin led the Fighting Tigers to the team title.

The Fighting Tigers will host the Steven A. Ward Invitational at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Tiger gets NEAC award

SUNY Cobleskill sophomore Tyler Shaw earned Student-Athlete of the Week honors for golf from the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Shaw shot an 83 and finished 24th in the Utica College Invitational at Hidden Valley Golf Course on Sunday.
