Jordan Beers scored twice and Haley Downin stopped 15 shots as visiting Franklin earned a 3-0 Tri-Valley League girls soccer victory over Edmeston on Thursday.
Beers started the scoring a little less than four minutes into the second half and made it 2-0 about 11 minutes later. Jessica Terrano set up Beers' second goal with a cross.
Lily Stalter capped the scoring with 10 minutes to play for the Purple Devils (1-1, 1-1), who won despite getting outshot, 20-11.
"I'm not surprised," said Edmeston coach Melanie Mumbulo, whose 2-1-1 team didn't allow a goal this season until Thursday. "There will be some good teams (in the T-V) this year because everybody has some good players. Nobody's really above anybody right now. If you come and play well, you're probably going to win."
Edmeston hosts Milford on Tuesday.
