The Oneonta Tennis Club will begin its winter junior clinics Sunday.
Group A will be for beginners to intermediates and starts at 1 p.m.
Group B will be for advanced players who are good enough to play high school tennis and starts at 2:30 p.m.
The clinics will run for 12 weeks and end March 24.

Archery league begins Monday
The West End Archery is accepting sign-ups for its 13-week Winter Techno Hunt League, which starts Monday.

Basketball leagues start soon
The Oneonta Family YMCA is accepting sign-ups for its 30-and-over and 50-and-over basketball leagues.
Instructional meetings will run Wednesday at 6 p.m. (50-and-over) and 7 p.m. (30-and-over).

O-State Kids Day is Jan. 19
Oneonta State will host its third annual Kids in Sports Day at 10 a.m. Jan. 19 at Alumni Field House.
The day will be split into two sessions with a break for lunch and conclude at 1:45 p.m. with a question-and-answer featuring Red Dragons student-athletes. Soccer, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse and field hockey are the featured sports this year.
The event is free for children ages 4-13. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Children should wear appropriate athletic clothing, including sneakers, and bring a lunch and a drink.

Youth soccer forms due March 1
Registration forms for the Oneonta Youth Soccer Association’s spring recreational program will be distributed through Oneonta elementary schools and are due March 1. Forms also are available at Latte Lounge on Main Street in Oneonta.

Rat Snake registration open
Registration is open for the 2013 Rat Snake, a triathlon held in honor of the late Dr. Ken Stalter.
The event, which is scheduled for May 18, will feature professional timing. The triathlon/team triathlon will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the trail run at 10 a.m. and the 3-kilometer jog/stroll at noon.
The triathlon and trail run will be limited to 100 participants. The team triathlon will be limited to 10 teams.
