---- — OHS girls to host Waverly tonight
Southern Tier Athletic Conference girls basketball champion Oneonta High will host a Section Four Class B quarterfinal at 7 p.m. today against Interscholastic Athletic Conference champion Waverly.
The Yellowjackets (17-1), who have won five straight sectional championships, are coming off a quarterfinal bye as the No. 1 seed for the tournament. Fourth-seeded Waverly (19-0), which won the Interscholastic Athletic Conference crown, is coming off a 52-38 quarterfinal defeat of No. 5 seed Chenango Valley of the STAC.
OHS is the state’s second-ranked team in Class B. Waverly is ranked 14th in the state.
Admission for tonight’s game is $5 for adults and students. Children under 10 and senior citizens will be admitted for free.
Tonight’s winner will advance to the Section Four Class B championship game against third-seeded Norwich (11-5) or No. 2 seed Seton Catholic Central (13-4) at 5 p.m. March 2 at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton.
Seton will host STAC rival Norwich at 7 p.m. today in the other semifinal.

Class C quarterfinals: 5-Unatego (15-4) at 4-Tioga (15-4), 7 p.m.; 6-Harpursville (15-3) at 3-Unadilla Valley (15-1), 7 p.m.; 10-Bainbridge-Guilford (11-8) at 2-Elmira ND (14-3), 7 p.m.
Class D quarterfinals: 8-Schenevus (12-5) at 1-Franklin (17-0), 6 p.m.; 12-Marathon (7-11) at 4-Southern Cayuga (11-8), 6 p.m.; 7-Morris (13-4) at 2-South Kortright (19-0), 6 p.m.; 6-Candor (8-9) at 3-Davenport (16-3), 7 p.m.
Hartwick to host synchronized swimming
Hartwick College will host the Adirondack Synchronized Swim Association Invitational at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Swimmers from the Binghamton and Albany areas will compete with local swimmers Caitlyn Bhend, Remy Kane and Sevran Kane, who will participate in the 13-and-over Intermediate Trios and Figures event. Bhend and Remy Kane also will pair up in a Duet.
Figures start 10:30 a.m., followed by routines at 2 p.m. Routines include solos, duets, trios and teams of 4-to-8 swimmers.
