Morgan Clark, Karli Pochkar and Cassie Sklenka scored six points apiece as Worcester opened a 12-point halftime lead in its Tri-Valley League East Division-clinching, 38-24 girls basketball victory at Cherry Valley-Springfield on Tuesday.

Pochkar finished with 10 points, Sklenka had eight, and Clark, Jillian Perillo and Nicole Sawyer had six points apiece for Worcester, which handed Franklin its lone regular-season loss in a lopsided, early-season game.
Aria Dubben had nine points for CV-S (9-7, 6-6), which trailed, 21-9, at halftime.
The Patriots travel to Schenevus on Friday.

Sophomore Jordan Beers scored 23 of her game-high 28 points in the middle quarters, when visiting Franklin outscored Gilbertsville-Mount Upton, 35-18, en route to a Tri-Valley League victory.
"She's just hard to contain," Raiders coach Jim Johnson said of Beers, the area's scoring leader. "She does things other kids can't. With most kids when they penetrate, you can get a hand on the ball, but with her it's in a different place and you end up fouling her."
That happened three times in the third quarter as Beers converted three old-fashioned three-point plays. The Purple Devils, champions of the Tri-Valley League West Division title, led, 43-30 after three quarters.
Jesse Terrano contributed 13 points for the winners.
Blake Stensland's 15-point night included three three-pointers for G-MU. She scored seven points in the first quarter to help the Raiders to a 12-8 lead.
G-MU, which received 10 points from Miranda Hill, travels to Edmeston on Friday.
