Hartwick women extend streak to 10

Hartwick College scored 16 of the last 20 points to beat host Albany College of Pharmacy, 62-46, in a non-conference women's basketball game Tuesday.

The Hawks (19-3) extended their winning streak to 10 games _ the third longest in program history.

Sophomore Kate Purcell had game highs of 21 points and 10 rebounds for Hartwick. Classmate Maria Foglia contributed 17 points, five assists and five steals.

Hartwick travels to Nazareth on Friday.

Mohawk Valley 116, Delhi 84

Tequilla Lloyd had 26 points and 10 rebounds, but SUNY Delhi lost a Mountain Valley Conference game on the road.

The Broncos (16-9, 15-7) allowed 62 points in the first half and trailed by 14.

Pam Sosa contributed 16 points for the Broncos, who received 10 points from South Kortright graduate Renee Craft and eight from Gilbertsville-Mount Upton graduate Tanya Barnes.

Shaniece Brown had 25 points to lead Mohawk Valley.

Delhi plays host to Hudson Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday.
