Tennis tourney starts Monday
The Hometown Deli & Grocery round-robin doubles tennis tournament runs Monday through July 11 at the George R. Waddington Tennis Courts in Oneonta's Wilber Park.
Winners of each division _ men's, women's and mixed _ will receive trophies. Entry forms are available at the Oneonta City Recreation Office in Neahwa Park. For more information, call tennis supervisor Mike Andrews at 607-287-0517.
Colonial Ridge to host event
Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens will host its annual Glow in The Dark Golf Tournament on Saturday. The captain-and-crew event begins with a shotgun start at 6:30 p.m. for nine daylight holes and resumes at 9:30 p.m. for nine more in the dark. Cost is $30 per person, but greens fees, carts and food are extra. The first 14 teams to pay $120 will be accepted. For more information, call 607-263-5291.
OBGC league begins Monday
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club's Summer Basketball League will run Monday through the week of July 26 this year. Varsity boys will play Mondays, followed by junior varsity boys on Tuesdays, varsity girls on Wednesdays and JV girls on Thursdays. Game times are set at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. each day. Each team will play two games per night.
Cost is $250 per boys team and $150 per girls team. Each team must furnish its own basketballs, jerseys, medical equipment and scorekeeper or timer.

Local teams win soccer titles
The Calcio under-19 boys and girls soccer teams each won Broome County Soccer Association league championships with 6-0-2 records this season.

The BCSL hosts 210 teams that mostly hail from the Section Four area.
OCC to host junior golf clinics
The Oneonta Country Club's annual junior clinics begin Monday.
Participants ages 6-17 will be grouped based on age and skill level. Youths will play three, six or nine holes within their groups following 45 minutes of instruction. Nine-holers will start at 8:15 a.m., followed by six-holers at 9:15 a.m. and three-holers at 10:15 a.m.
The program costs $60 per person and runs five consecutive Mondays. It will conclude with awards and a banquet that is open to the public.

Youth soccer camps continue
The 2010 Headwaters Soccer Club will host six more camps for youths ages 7-17 this summer.
Cost to attend one camp is $60 per player. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a water bottle.
Camps, which are also open to teams, run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
The HSC will offer the following camps:
Monday through July 9: Robinson-Broadhurst Camp at Schenevus Central.
July 12-16: Middleburgh Telephone Company Camp at Mine Kill State Park.
July 19-23: Hunter Mountain Camp at Mine Kill State Park.
July 26-30: New York Central Mutual-Wightman Specialty Woods Camp at Edmeston Central.
Aug. 2-6: NY Power Authority Camp at Mine Kill State Park.
Aug. 9-13: Bassett Healthcare Sports Medicine Camp at Oneonta State.

Camps have openings
The Rising Star Basketball Camp at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club has a few openings left for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The camp runs from 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday through July 8. Cost is $50 and includes a camp basketball and T-shirt.
