Lexi Duda went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Cooperstown to a 6-4 victory over visiting Port Byron in a Section Three Class C-2 Tournament quarterfinal Wednesday.

Duda highlighted her outing with a two-run double in the fifth inning, when the Redskins (15-6) scored three times to take a 4-3 lead.

Cooperstown put runners at first and second with none out in the fifth before Meghan Vann bunted both into scoring position. Alannah Haggerty followed with an RBI groundout and, after the Redskins got another runner on base via error, Duda doubled in two more runs.

Cooperstown followed with a two-run sixth, getting an RBI single from Natalie Reich and scoring an unearned run on an error to take a 6-3 lead.

Winning pitcher Nicole Cring (15-6) struck out nine, walked one and scattered five hits.

Port Byron scored three times against Cring in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead. Maria Morgenthaler tripled in two of PB's runs in the inning. Cring also gave up one run in the seventh.
