A triumph for the ages
GENERAL CLINTON CANOE REGATTA ... The combination of age, heat, humidity, a broken paddle and the talents of current General Clinton Canoe Regatta kingpins Andy Triebold and Steve Lajoie proved too much for 55-year-old Serge Corbin. Triebold and Lajoie sucked all the drama out of the 50th annual C-2 pro race _ a 70-mile endurance test from Cooperstown to Bainbridge along the Susquehanna River _ in the race's first hour or so. It marked the fifth straight year they've won the regatta and the seventh consecutive year Triebold has been in the winning canoe.
