Oneonta High will provide a chartered bus for fans who wish to attend Friday's Class A state quarterfinal boys basketball game between the Yellowjackets and Peekskill at Pace University in Pleasantville, OHS athletic director Joe Hughes said Wednesday.

Section Four champion OHS will play Section One winner Peekskill, the three-time defending Federation champion, at 8 p.m. Friday. The winner advances to the state semifinals, which begin March 15 at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

There is no cost for the bus ride, but tickets for the game cost $8. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, Hughes said. To reserve a seat, call Hughes at 607-433-8251 or e-mail joe@oneontacsd.org.

The bus will leave the Oneonta Middle School parking lot at 3:30 p.m. Friday and is expected to return to Oneonta at about 1 a.m. Saturday, Hughes said.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP ... Not only will Cooperstown take a 15-3 record into the Section Three Class C-2 tournament next week, the Redskins also are getting healthier. The Redskins' girls basketball team defeated visiting Waterville, 63-29, and earned the co-championship in Division III of the Center State Conference on Friday. Cooperstown and Hamilton each finished with 9-1 league records.
