Justin Pepper scored on touchdown runs of 28, 3, 2 and 14 yards to lead Bainbridge-Guilford to a 26-6 Section Four Football Conference Division VII victory over visiting Harpursville on Friday.
Pepper's 3-yard scoring run in the third quarter capped a 70-yard drive that gave the Bobcats a 12-6 lead. Pepper, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound senior, finished with a game-high 80 yards rushing and 14 carries.
"We just kind of wore them down," B-G coach Tim Mattingly said of his team's 281-89 advantage in rushing yards. "We were bigger and more physical and just ran right at them."
Pepper finished off a 60-yard drive to open the game with a 28-yard bootleg around the right end.
Harpursville (1-1, 0-1) tied the score late in the first quarter, when Richard Ruggrero recovered a fumble in the end zone.
During the Bobcats' third-quarter drive, Pepper twice hit Ryan Porter on bootleg passes that went for 42 yards.
Jake Taylor contributed 73 rushing yards on 12 attempts and Darren Terpstra had 59 yards on nine carries.
The Bobcats (1-1, 1-0) _ 20-14 losers to Sidney in Week 1 _ travel to Hancock on Friday.

Owego's Mike Spadine scored twice in the second half and Oneonta High's rally fell short in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference loss at home.
It marks the Yellowjackets' first loss in four STAC matches this season.
"I think it could have easily went our way," OHS coach Alex Brannan said. "Today, we were the better team, but we made mistakes and they capitalized. The kids have to learn from it."
Spadine opened the scoring six minutes into the second half. Tim Gilli sent a ball into the box and Spadine, OHS goalie Alex Meschutt and defender Matt Arcidiacono converged on the ball about 10 yards from the goal. Spadine got his head on it and it bounced toward the goal and over the line.
Spadine scored again six minutes later. Camden Bushen sent a corner kick into the box and Spadine hit a hard shot past Meschutt from 16 yards.
"A couple of our players weren't in the right position," Brannan said. "The ball doesn't get there if we're in the right position."
Dan Joseph's first varsity goal pulled OHS to 2-1 with 12 minutes left. Joseph, a sophomore, headed in a corner kick from brother Jacob. From the right side, Jacob Joseph drove his corner kick to the near post and Dan headed it inside the far post.
It was OHS' lone success on 13 corner kicks.
The Yellowjackets travel to Susquehanna Valley on Wednesday.

Cipperly's throughball set up Nick Meehan's left-footed goal 15 minutes into play. Ten minutes later, Jimmy King scored off a cross from Carson King to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
Ben Gifford also scored for Delhi, which held a 9-6 advantage in shots.
The Bulldogs (2-1), the defending Section Four Class C champions, play the host school in the championship at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Dalton Polomcean scored twice to lead the hosts to a first-round victory in the Downsville Tournament.
With 9 1/2 minutes left in the first half, Polomcean headed in a corner kick from Sean Abrams to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Polomcean was right near the line when he got his head on it.
Twenty seconds later, Keith Bowman controlled a loose ball in the box to make it 2-0.
The Eagles (1-0) play Delhi in the final at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Host Andes ended a winless skid that co-coach Sandra Noonan said extends back at least 10 years with a Delaware League victory.
"We're really excited," said Noonan, who shares coaching responsibilities with Tom Little.
Eighth-grader Mariah Ruff, a toddler when Andes last left the field a winner, had four goals and one assist to lead the Mountaineers.
Ruff scored all three of Andes' first-half goals, the first coming 11:57 into the first half. Ruff struck again about six minutes later to make it 2-0.
"When I first started, we didn't have the numbers," said Noonan, a coach at Andes the past seven years. "This is the first year we've had a predominately older team, with players sophomores or above."
Senior Kaitlin Mackay had two goals and freshman Kelsey Little contributed an assist for Andes (1-1, 1-0), which plays host to Roxbury on Monday.

The last of Lily Stalter's three goals _ all set up by Jordan Beers _ came midway through the first 10-minute overtime and lifted host Franklin the Tri-Valley League.

Holly Waid's pass set up Jackie Gilley's goal that gave Davenport a 3-1 lead and the Wildcats held on for a first-round victory in the New York Pizzeria Tournament at Unadilla Valley.
Waid dribbled along the right wing before pushing a pass to Gilley, who finished from 12 yards.
Gilbertsville-Mount Upton answered 1:30 later, when Kristen Gonzalez finished a crossing pass from Lauren Hill from 18 yards.
Davenport (3-0) extended its unbeaten streak to 24 games, one that dates to last season.
Samantha Meyerhoff and Sarah Haight also scored for Davenport, which plays Unadilla Valley at 7 p.m. Saturday in the final.

Kristyn Gould opened the scoring off an assist by Kate Fagan 4 minutes in. Carly Lorence followed three minutes later with an unassisted goal from the corner for a 2-0 lead. Jordan Anderson and Kara Collins also scored in the first half for the Storm, which got a second-half goal from Gould.
Alyssa Falciani paced the Bobcats with a goal and an assist. Randi Conway and Raileigh Hall also scored for B-G, which was outshot, 20-11.

Grantier, a sweeper, was moved up to midfield and took the penalty kick after Milford was called for a handball in the box.
After a 30-minute lightning delay in the second half, Emily Brennan and Eden Ward each scored for Milford.
Ward scored off a deflected cross with just under 16 minutes left. Two minutes later Brennan scored on a 12-yard shot off a pass from Avalon Ward.
