The first-place Amsterdam Mohawks had season-highs for runs and hits in beating last-place Cooperstown Hawkeyes, 16-8, in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game Sunday at Amsterdam.
Zak Colby and Jeff Boehm had five hits apiece to lead the Mohawks' 23-hit attack. Colby homered in the first inning and Demarcus Henderson finished 4-for-5, including a three-run double as Amsterdam improved to 23-5.
The Hawkeyes (9-18) tied the score at 3 in the third inning, when Coleman Barron hit a two-run double. Barron scored on Jabob Hubert's groundout.
But the Mohawks answered with six runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth to take a 12-3 lead.
Henderson's three-run double in the third made it 8-3.
Cooperstown will host the Oneonta Outlaws at 5 today at Doubleday Field.

Omar Garcia's sacrifice fly to center scored Orlando Rivera with the winning run in the Oneonta Outlaws' PGCBL victory Saturday at Damaschke Field.
Rivera led off the ninth with a walk against losing pitcher Jimmy Wagner. Ethan Humbert then relieved Wagner. Rivera advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Shane Crain. After an intentional walk to Zac Johnson, Clay Holcomb reached on an infield single to third that loaded the bases.
Garcia then flied to center and Rivera scored ahead of the throw by Sean Osterman.
After the Pilots took a 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh, Cory Hunt doubled to right to lead off Oneonta's seventh. Logan Brown then singled to send Hunt to third. Rivera's squeeze bunt scored Hunt with the tying run.
Brown and Johnson had two hits apiece for Oneonta (13-13).

Tyler Mautner hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning and Chris Blanton had two hits, but the Hawkeyes fell on the road Saturday in the PGCBL.
The DiamondDawgs scored seven times in the seventh inning to take a 10-1 lead. Cooperstown made two errors in the inning.
