David Anderson hit 3 of 5 free throws in overtime, including his last two with 16 seconds left, as Unadilla Valley earned a 57-54 boys basketball victory over host Greene in a semifinal of the Midstate Athletic Conference 5-8 Tournament on Thursday.
Anderson's last free throw scored the final point of the semifinal as seventh-seeded UV (7-9) dribbled out the clock after No. 6 Greene turned the ball over.
Justin Hofer finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six steals for the Storm, who were outscored, 17-9, in the fourth quarter. Hofer made 1 of 2 foul shots with 3.4 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 48 and force overtime.
Jesse Ranger and Brett Smith contributed 11 points apiece for UV, which will host No. 8 Walton in the 5-8 title game on Wednesday.
Ryan Borst scored 16 points for the Trojans, who got 10 apiece from Jeff Carlin and Dan Treadwell.

Walton 51, Hancock 50
Justin DiJiulio scored 23 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lift eighth-seeded Walton past No. 5 Hancock in a semifinal of the MAC 5-8 Tournament.
With Walton down, 50-49, DiJiulio scored from the low post with 14.5 seconds left to give the Warriors the lead.
Hancock then lost the ball, but it caromed off a Walton player with .9 seconds to go. The clock ran out when Walton's Collin Schick deflected the ensuing inbounds pass.
Dalton Kaminsky and Dan Jacquays (three three-pointers) contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Walton, which advances to play at seventh-seeded Unadilla Valley on Wednesday.
Tyler Phillips hit seven of Hancock's 12 three-pointers en route to a game-high 24 points. Tom Banicky scored 12 points for Hancock, which received 10 from Warren Drake.

Brandon Simonds' 20 points led ninth-seeded Delhi past No. 12 Afton in a MAC 9-12 semifinal.
"It was a nice team effort," Delhi coach Warren Kelly said of his Bulldogs, who committed a season-low 11 turnovers. "We played a smart team-game tonight. We got a lot of good looks at the basket."
Tyler Hymers contributed a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Delhi, which hosts Harpursville at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Cameron Oswald's 19 points paced Afton, which received 12 points from Mitch Decker.

Kyle Short hit a three-pointer with .2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime for Margaretville, which went on to beat non-league host Roscoe in its season finale.
Scoring in overtime was back-and-forth until Matt VanValkenburg hit two free throws with 11 seconds remaining. Roscoe's Jesse Huggins got a three-point shot off with time expiring, but it rimmed out.
Short and Mitch Hull had 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Blue Devils (7-11). Hull and Marshall Bouton each grabbed 12 rebounds.
Roscoe's Rob Taurino finished with a game-high 20 points.
