Mike Deluca's 17 points led three double-digit scoring efforts for Morris on Friday, when the Mustangs clinched the Tri-Valley League West Division championship with a 61-57 boys basketball victory at Edmeston.
"They've got our number so far," said Edmeston coach Darren Belden, whose team dropped a first-round game in the Ray Clement Tournament to host Morris, 38-31, on Dec. 27.
The state-ranked Mustangs (12-2, 12-0) took a 32-30 lead into halftime, but Edmeston (11-2, 8-2) answered with a 12-8 third quarter. Levi Decker helped Morris regain control with two three-point field goals in the final quarter, when the Mustangs outscored the Panthers, 21-15.
"We were down six or eight points a lot in the fourth quarter," Belden said. "We got it to four, but Decker hit two big threes. We left him alone and he drained them."
Decker finished with three threes and 15 points for Morris, which received 10 points from Skylar Maricle and seven apiece from Zach Doyle and Kerry Smith.
Justin Kucera had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Panthers, who got 10 points apiece from Thomas Parker and Brandon Fallon. Logan Vibbard and Tanner Ray each scored nine points for Edmeston, which is at Richfield Springs on Monday.

Unatego 68, UV 55
Travis Woods scored a game-high 21 points for Unatego, which rallied from two points down at halftime for a MAC road win.
"We played our best first half of the season," Unadilla Valley coach Matt Osborne said. "We played with intensity and we defended and we hit open shots. In the third quarter, they just got it inside to Woods."
The Spartans (14-1, 10-0) fell behind, 33-31, at halftime but came back with a 21-8 third quarter. Woods and Kellen Komenda scored seven points apiece in the period.
"He was a guy we weren't really focused on stopping and he stepped up for them," Osborne said of Komenda, who finished with 11 points.
Dan Shelton contributed 14 points and Tyler Butler had 10 for the Spartans, who won despite a 6-for-16 effort at the free throw line.
Justin Hofer had 16 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Storm (5-9, 4-6), who received 10 points apiece from Jesse Ranger and Jack Wilcox.
UV, which went 6-for-18 at the foul line, visits Delhi on Tuesday.

Ryan Porter scored 12 of his team-high 18 points in the first half, helping Bainbridge-Guilford to a MAC road win.
Porter also had 11 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.
Corbin Palmer contributed 14 points, Brooks Harmon had 10 and Ray Frederick came off the bench to score 10 for the Bobcats, who took a 34-26 lead into halftime.
"We could not contain their big men in the first half," Delhi coach Warren Kelly said. "They just had too much size for us."
Brandon Simonds scored 18 points and Ben Gifford (four three-pointers) had 16 to lead Delhi, which hosts Unadilla Valley on Tuesday.

Thane Weigl had 11 of his 14 points in the first half, helping the host Leopards to a 20-point lead en route to a Tri-Valley League victory.
Weigl also had nine rebounds. Teammate David Fraser contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, and Mike VanDeusen finished with 15 points.
"We pressed in the first quarter and in the second quarter we played halfcourt man and put a lot of pressure on the ball," Laurens coach Andy Carr said of his team holding Franklin to eight points in the first half.
Mitchel Barra grabbed eight rebounds for Laurens (4-10, 4-7), which plays host to Edmeston on Wednesday.
Derek Beers had 11 points to lead Franklin.

Justin DiJiulio scored his varsity high of 23 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead host Walton in the Midstate Athletic Conference.
Ben Conklin contributed 18 points, and Dalton Kaminsky finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
"He's getting his legs back," Walton coach Gary Williams said of Kaminsky, who missed most of the regular season with a right knee injury suffered during the football season. "It's nice for the guys who've been here all year long. They're stepping up, too. They're a doing a better job defensively and a better job executing offensively."
Tyler Phillips had 19 points to lead Hancock, the defending Section Four Class D champion.
"I thought we did a nice job defensively against a very good shooting team," Williams said. "We held them to five threes. Not only did we contest three-point shooters, but we also rebounded the ball."
The Warriors (6-9, 4-6) will see how far they've come Tuesday, when they host once-beaten Unatego.

Up by one after the first quarter, the Wildcats outscored CV-S, 22-5, in the second quarter. Milford hit four three-pointers in that quarter, one apiece from Ward, Paul VanWarner, Brian Thorn and Peyton Griffiths. Corey Atwell had 11 points for the Wildcats.
Cherry Valley-Springfield's Isiah Montgomery and Kyle Jaquay scored 14 apiece, and Collin Lamouret contributed 13.
The Patriots (10-5, 8-3) remain in first place in the Tri-Valley East, holding a one game lead over Richfield Springs with two left to play, Pats coach Terry Brant said. They will travel to Worcester on Wednesday and host Schenevus on Friday.
