Three face felonies after Franklin drug bust

Three people were arrested Wednesday on felony drug charges, accused of possessing narcotics with intent to sell them, state police at Sidney said in a media report.

Gregory J. Lange, 27, of Worcester; Edwina M. Walters, 30, of Stamford, Conn.; and Connie Zachow, 24, of Walton, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotics with intent to sell, a felony; and with second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, the report said.

Walters additionally was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, troopers said, and Zachow also was charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, troopers said.

The arrests were made on Bennett Hollow Road in the town of Franklin, the report said.

Also, Storm A. Farina, 28, of Oneonta, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, troopers said, and she was released on a ticket to appear in court.

Troopers said Thursday that further information wasn't available because the investigation continues.

Lange and Walters were being held on bail of $25,000 cash, or $50,000 bond, Delaware County jail officials said, and Zachow also remained in jail Thursday on $15,000 cash, or $30,000 bond bail.
