The state Senate passed a jobs-creation bill Wednesday that will help fuel the economy, a local senator said.
Sen. James Seward, R-Milford, said the 2012 New Jobs-NY Job Creation Plan will help create thousands of private sector jobs by delivering tax relief to small businesses and manufacturers, reducing energy costs and by enacting fiscal reforms to make the state more economically competitive.
"New York is moving in the right direction," Seward said in a media release.
Sen. John Bonacic, R-Mount Hope, also supported the legislation.
