Two brothers were arrested Sunday for allegedly trying to break into a room at an Oneonta motel.
Timothy A. Button, 25, and Jonathan R. Button, 28, both of Oneonta, were arrested at the Town House Motor Inn at about midnight.
The brothers were attempting to enter a room at the hotel and were threatening the people inside, according to city police.
When police arrived, Timothy Button fled out a window of another hotel room, while Jonathan Button tried to stop officers from arresting him, police said in a media release.
Both men were charged with second-degree attempted burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and third-degree menacing.
They were each sent to the Otsego County jail on $10,000 bail and are slated to appear in city court at a later date for further proceedings.
