Officer: 30 students arrested during weekend
ONEONTA — City police made more arrests this weekend than last.
Sgt. Ralph Pajerski said foot traffic downtown and in Center City was about the same during the two weekends. He attributed the increase in arrests to more officers on duty, including a bicycle patrol Friday night.
About 30 college students were arrested between Friday through Sunday for charges including noise, open container, public urination, littering and criminal nuisance, according to the blotter, which reported about a dozen such arrests the previous weekend.
