Redistricting panel to hold meeting tonight
The Oneonta Redistricting Commission will meet at City Hall tonight to revisit its work adjusting ward lines.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be in the Mayor’s Conference Room at 5 p.m., Commission Chairwoman Emily Brady said Sunday.
The commission is meeting to reconsider more options for re-aligning wards, Brady said.
The panel had submitted a “final’’ recommendation to the Common Council, but at least two Common Council members voiced concerns last month about ward configuration and student populations within wards.
Brady said the hope is to reach a recommendation to present to the Common Council on Tuesday.
