Three Norwich residents have been arrested on conspiracy and burglary charges.
Nicholas A. Redd, 24; Rodney H. Maclaury, 29; and John C. Leonard, 36, were charged Thursday with fifth-degree conspiracy and third-degree burglary, according to a media release from Chenango County deputies.
The men are accused of unlawfully entering a garage and stealing items, which they exchanged for money at a local business, deputies said.
Redd was arraigned in North Norwich Town Court and sent to Chenango County jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. Leonard was arraigned in the same court and released to the custody of his employer.
Maclaury had been confined to the Chenango jail on a separate charge related to the same crime, the release said, and he remains incarcerated pending a later court date.
