COMMENTING ON STORIES:

5. Hate speech of any kind.
6. Intolerant comments on religion, race, age, gender, sexual preference or disabilities.
7. Accusations of criminal activity.
8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND OR TERMINATE ACCESS FOR:

1. Violating any of these Online Rules of Conduct.

Election Day dinner set for Tuesday

The local tradition of Election Day dinners will continue in the area this year. The following are among the events set for Tuesday:

OTSEGO COUNTY

Cooperstown

Cooperstown Veterans Club (sponsored by Cooperstown Rotary Club), 60 Main St. 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., 4 to 7 p.m. All-you-can-eat pancakes, maple syrup, sausages, apple sauce, coffee, tea and cider. $6 for adults, $4 for children.

Jordanvillle

Jordanville Federated Church of Christ, 209 Main St. 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, carrots, French kraut, pickled beets, rolls, quick breads and homemade pies. $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 11, free for children younger than 5; 50-cent fee for takeouts.

Laurens

Laurens American Legion, Roast pork, mashed potatoes, stuffing, string beans, apple sauce, salad bar, and apple and pumpkin pie. $8; takeouts available. 5 to 7 p.m.

Morris

Morris Firehouse (served by Morris Fire Department Auxiliary), Main Street 4:30 p.m. Baked ziti by Roma Pizzeria Ristorante, sausage or meatballs, tossed salad, rolls and dessert. Free-will donation; takeouts available.

SCHOHARIE COUNTY

Jefferson

Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department, Creamery Street 4:30 p.m. All-you-can-eat chicken-and-biscuits, potatoes, vegetable and dessert. Takeouts available; 50/50 raffle.

DELAWARE COUNTY

Franklin

Franklin United Methodist Church, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 4 to 7 p.m. Ham loaf, cabbage salad, corn, applesauce, rolls and pie. $8 for adults and $4 for children; takeouts available.
