Open government workshop planned
New York state’s Freedom of Information and Open Meeting laws will be the subjects of a local government workshop April 3 at the State University College at Oneonta.
Organized by the Otsego County Planning Department and the Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board, the free workshop will be led by Robert Freeman from the Department of State Committee on Open Government.
Freeman will provide an overview of the laws, and questions will be encouraged, the Planning Department said in the press release.
The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 3 at SUCO’s Hunt Union Ballroom. Registration, which is required, can be done online at www.localgovttraining.eventbrite.com or by calling Meghan Lottridge at (607) 547-4225. The number of participants is limited to 80.
