Water quality meeting set

The Otsego County Water Quality Coordinating Committee meeting scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday will feature presentations by area businesses with expertise in water quality improvement and protection projects, a media release announced Thursday.

Allied Biological northern New York manager Stephen Wilson will present "Invasive Aquatic Plants vs. Native Aquatic Plants." Bryan Quinn of Applied Ecological Services Inc. will address "Ecological Restoration Methods for the Improvement of Water Quality." Michele Palmer of Templeton Landscape Architecture & Planning in Cooperstown will present "Green Infrastructure and Water Quality."

The meeting, which is being hosted by the Otsego County Planning Department, will be in Classroom A of The Meadows Office Building, 140 County Highway 33W in Cooperstown. Pre-registration is required. For more information, email admin@occainfo.org or call 547-4488.
