---- — Holiday train to visit Oneonta, Cobleskill
The Canadian Pacific’s Holiday Train will chug through the area Thursday with stops in Oneonta and Cobleskill, a media release said.
The train, which features holiday lights and presents entertainers, will stop at the James Georgeson Avenue railroad crossing near Damaschke Field in Neahwa Park at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. The train also will stop at the Cobleskill Fire Department at 610 Main St. at 3:45 p.m.
Organizers urge visitors to arrive early because the train’s arrival may vary by about 15 minutes. Food and cash donations will be collected for local anti-hunger programs, they said.
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, which has a Facebook page, starts its three-week journey today in Beaconsfield, Quebec, and will finish in Port Moody, British Columbia, on Dec. 18.
