Bronx man arrested
on drug charge
A Bronx man was arrested after trying to sell 80 bags of heroin, Delaware County deputies said.
Miguel A. Santiago, 27, was charged Nov. 16 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, deputies said in a media release. He is accused of selling the heroin to an undercover member of the sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit in the village of Walton.
Santiago was arraigned in Delhi Village Court and sent to Delaware County jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 secured bond, pending a Nov. 20 court date, the release said.
Deputies were assisted by the Walton Police Department and the state police K-9 unit.
