A Walton man was found guilty of drug charges in Delaware County Court following a two-day jury trial.
Benjamin Alfonzo, 32, was found guilty, with Judge John Lambert presiding, of three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The jury was picked Monday and the verdict was delivered late Wednesday. He was indicted in June and was out on $20,000 bail, which was revoked after the verdict. Sentencing was set for March 11.
Other cases heard Feb. 4 include:
• Ronald Neu Jr., 19, of Walton, was arraigned on second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny. He was scheduled for trial in April and sent to Delaware County jail on $25,000.
• Anthony Jasiel, 31, of Walton, was sentenced to five years probation for attempted fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
• Francesco O’Shaughnessy, 19, no address given, pleaded guilty to two counts third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was sentenced to one to three years in prison, and an order of restitution was issued for $760.
