---- — Upcoming votes are scheduled at several area schools. On Feb. 12, from noon to 8 p.m. at Delaware Academy Central School in Delhi, voting on a $7.75 million capital improvement project will take place in the middle school library. With state reimbursement rate of 73 percent and use of capital reserve funds, there is no impact on the tax levy, Superintendent Jason Thomson said.
The project is made up of items that have been identified as needing to addressed, including security enhancements, work on the middle school gym, high school roof replacements and improving energy efficiency, he said. If bids come in below estimates, other areas could be addressed, he said.
Also on that day there is a vote at Margaretville Central School from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Margaretville Central School cafeteria for purchase of a new school bus, not to exceed $113,000.
On March 13, Morris Central School is holding a bus purchase vote from noon to 8 p.m. in the main lobby. Voters are being asked to approve the purchase of two vehicles not to exceed $165,000 — a 65-passenger propane bus and a Suburban van.
