Cashier: Shop window smashed

Someone threw an object recently that broke a window at Smokers’ Choice at 76 Chestnut St. in Oneonta, an employee said Monday.

The window was broken sometime around the first weekend in February, Yolanda Boutcher, cashier, said. The damaged window was in the front of the store, she said, and fortunately only the exterior of the double-pane was broken.

The manager found a piece of concrete near the site of the impact, Boutcher said. Repairs haven’t been made, and Boutcher said she didn’t know if the manager would report the incident to police.

Oneonta city police said Monday that no report had been made about a broken window at Smokers’ Choice in the city.
