Tanya Tucker coming to Foothills

Country singer Tanya Tucker will perform a Christmas concert in Oneonta, according to a media release from the Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday for the Dec. 9 concert.

Information on pricing and ticket ordering for that and other performances in the "Six Months of Sizzle" series is available online at http://foothillspac.org, or by calling 431-2080. Foothills is located at 24 Market St. in Oneonta.

The concert is part of the series at Foothills that started on Wednesday with Disney star Peyton List and concludes with the performance by Tucker, who received the Country Music Association's female vocalist award in 1991.

Tucker is known for hit songs such as "Delta Dawn," "Blood Red and Goin' Down" and "Jamestown Ferry." Her most recent album, "My Turn," was released in 2009.
