The Norwich Tea Party Patriots will host a visit from Fred Polsnich portraying Uncle Sam from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as part of the Celebrate Our Independence Rally in West Side Park in downtown Norwich.
Polsnich will give a presentation about the nation's history, appropriate for all ages. Other speakers include Lisa Thrun, representative for Americans for Prosperity, who will discuss the recent Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare; and James Sacco, a Constitutional lawyer who will discuss the Declaration of Independence. There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence by attendees during the rally as part of a nationwide reading promoted by Hillsdale College.
