WORCESTER -- A young woman was killed Thursday when the car she was driving on Schenevus Road overturned, according to state police.
Troopers said Thursday night that the one-vehicle accident was still under investigation, and the name of the victim was being withheld. The victim, approximately 19 years old, was the only occupant of the two-door 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt sedan, troopers said.
She had been ejected from the vehicle, police said. There were no known witnesses to the mishap, and the exact time of the incident was also a focus of the continuing investigation. Police responded to the accident scene early Thursday afternoon when they were notified by a passerby.
Police said they were looking into the possibility that speed was a factor.
