WEST ONEONTA -- The Oneonta Town Board will have a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to review the municipality's comprehensive plan, Supervisor Robert Wood said.
The meeting will be in town hall in West Oneonta. Wood said the board will consider making appointments to a Comprehensive Plan Committee to work on the review. Town board members have names of residents to suggest, Wood said, and interested residents are encouraged to contact the board.
The plan was last updated in 1998, Wood said, and the need for a review arose in the context of a moratorium on proposed drilling for natural gas.
